A collision led to LFS Sapphire Club getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Fedele Cardella hit a great ball. Baltasar Aznaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hasan Hüseyin Orak in the 15th minute of play. Baltasar Aznaro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Hartlepool's Hasan Hüseyin Orak shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Fedele Cardella hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Bengt Blixt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carl Qvarnström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltasar Aznaro having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Carl Qvarnström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Aznaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Witalis Tamulewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baltasar Aznaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hasan Hüseyin Orak, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The LFS Sapphire Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hartlepool were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Witalis Tamulewicz to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Zbigniew Hatman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LFS Sapphire Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zbigniew Hatman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 54 minutes into the game, Roland Cerocki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LFS Sapphire Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hartlepool the free kick. In the 54th minute, Roland Cerocki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zbigniew Hatman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Åke Stål showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witalis Tamulewicz in the 62nd minute of the match. Vilhelm Västerstrand's late challenge caught a LFS Sapphire Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vilhelm Västerstrand helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Zbigniew Hatman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Åke Stål was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carl Qvarnström during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of LFS Sapphire Club booed when Hartlepool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Qvarnström didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Hartlepool's Baltasar Aznaro threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hasan Hüseyin Orak, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 70th minute, Hartlepool's Hasan Hüseyin Orak dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Baltasar Aznaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt Blixt in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th of the match, Hasan Hüseyin Orak tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Baltasar Aznaro got in the way and made a wonderful save. After 80 minutes LFS Sapphire Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hasan Hüseyin Orak who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Hasan Hüseyin Orak got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-4. 81 minutes into the match. After 87 minutes of play, Hartlepool's Hasan Hüseyin Orak made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baltasar Aznaro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Bengt Blixt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hartlepool's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt Blixt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltasar Aznaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carl Qvarnström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Hartlepool could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than LFS Sapphire Club throughout the match.
