In the 5th minute, József Murai made a precise shot to the right of Damazy Kinic. XENEIXES FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 13 minutes, Denis Chano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the XENEIXES FC and the Worst Team Ever players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to XENEIXES FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Denis Chano hit a great ball. The supporters of Worst Team Ever booed when XENEIXES FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Rioja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denis Chano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. XENEIXES FC's Saul Rioja got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carl Viklund charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carl Viklund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Worst Team Ever's Carl Viklund got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Lazaros Kotsiopoulos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vyacheslav Konopatov's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. The audience was convinced that Vyacheslav Konopatov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lazaros Kotsiopoulos was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 37th minute XENEIXES FC were awarded a corner. Jeremias Ixaka went to the cornerflag to take it. After a defensive mix-up in Worst Team Ever's zone, Vyacheslav Konopatov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lazaros Kotsiopoulos came out of the goal and Vyacheslav Konopatov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lazaros Kotsiopoulos was a little too slow when Vyacheslav Konopatov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vyacheslav Konopatov made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Rioja in the 51st minute of play forced Worst Team Ever's goalkeeper Lazaros Kotsiopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Saul Rioja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vyacheslav Konopatov in the 59th minute of play forced Worst Team Ever's goalkeeper Lazaros Kotsiopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Saul Rioja got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. XENEIXES FC made a substitution. Armando Michael replaced Saul Rioja. After 72 played minutes XENEIXES FC got a freekick which was hit by Beto Carranza. Damazy Kinic acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 74th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kalle Berg. In the 79th match minute, Worst Team Ever was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Hammarberg to maneuver through the defense. Jeremias Ixaka took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lazaros Kotsiopoulos. Worst Team Ever's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jeremias Ixaka's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Lazaros Kotsiopoulos on his right side and into the goal. 80 minutes into the game it was 3-1. Lazaros Kotsiopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Michael in the 82nd minute of the match. XENEIXES FC's Armando Michael got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Worst Team Ever's Lazaros Kotsiopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vyacheslav Konopatov in the 87th minute of play. Lazaros Kotsiopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vyacheslav Konopatov in the 89th minute of the match. Lazaros Kotsiopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vyacheslav Konopatov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Michael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lazaros Kotsiopoulos having to interfere. In the 96th minute Vyacheslav Konopatov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lazaros Kotsiopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Worst Team Ever's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
