Desiderio Etor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ronaldão Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vilma Palma's Ronaldão Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Etor in the 14th minute of play. Golden Dragon FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Desiderio Etor in the 15th minute. Desiderio Etor's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Ronaldão Penha skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Desiderio Etor in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldão Penha saved Vilma Palma from getting behind. Golden Dragon FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Desiderio Etor in the 30th minute. Golden Dragon FC's Desiderio Etor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ronaldão Penha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Vilma Palma's Ronaldão Penha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Vilma Palma from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute, Amancio Su hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Luisito Perrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Vilma Palma booed when Golden Dragon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Gamus didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vilma Palma's zone, Desiderio Etor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldão Penha came out of the goal and Desiderio Etor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Desiderio Etor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronaldão Penha was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Golden Dragon FC were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Vilma Palma's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Desiderio Etor took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Leonides Horado heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The Golden Dragon FC fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Golden Dragon FC's Desiderio Etor looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Luisito Perrando put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ronaldão Penha. Vilma Palma made a substitution. In the 81stth minute of the game Desiderio Etor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vilma Palma's Ronaldão Penha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vilma Palma's Dante Teofilio was substituted for Leopoldo Henrico. When Golden Dragon FC's Desiderio Etor in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Golden Dragon FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vilma Palma had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
