The crowd rose to their feet as Penuel Football Club's Chen Shi Ran slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Matias Carlomagno. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. With a little luck, San Lorenzo's Matias Carlomagno got control of the ball when Jorge-Luis Borges tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matias Carlomagno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge-Luis Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Carlomagno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge-Luis Borges in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mo Yi Sang made a kick off. After 51 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Estebano. Jorge-Luis Borges scored 3-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matias Carlomagno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 55 minutes into the match, Chen Shi Ran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matias Carlomagno. San Lorenzo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chen Shi Ran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. A collision led to San Lorenzo getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Osvaldo Llorienzo hit a great ball. Matias Carlomagno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge-Luis Borges in the 59th minute of play. San Lorenzo were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Penuel Football Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gigi Penaru took the corner. Kara Melo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Matias Carlomagno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After having played for 75 minutes, Mo Yi Sang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mo Yi Sang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mo Yi Sang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Mo Yi Sang sped through Penuel Football Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Epifanio Gabrio. In the 86th minute Kara Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Gabrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matias Carlomagno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Mo Yi Sang. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Penuel Football Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while San Lorenzo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
