Artemio Domenech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wlodzimierz Cipinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kim Olofsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artemio Domenech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Jakue in the 29th minute of play. Maju Gigante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wlodzimierz Cipinski having to interfere. Boca Gregorian Juniors's Artemio Domenech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Jakue in the 37th minute of play. Artemio Domenech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudolf Nordstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wlodzimierz Cipinski made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Wim Oldenborger sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd match minute, Boca Gregorian Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maju Gigante to maneuver through the defense.

With a little luck, Boca Gregorian Juniors's Artemio Domenech got control of the ball when Emilio Jakue tried to sneak it across the goal line. Artemio Domenech was a little too slow when Emilio Jakue got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 1-2. Wlodzimierz Cipinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans-Cees Dirks in the 60th minute of play. Wlodzimierz Cipinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfried Westerhof in the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, GAIS's Deng Le Jian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artemio Domenech made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Emilio Jakue managed to get in a good position for a shot. GAIS's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Jakue was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Domenech breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wim Oldenborger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wlodzimierz Cipinski having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched GAIS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
