Igor Brysz was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Harnaś Sanok's players had a chance to rest. Lars Julin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyszko Kajfasz having to interfere. FC Harnaś Sanok's Zbyszko Kajfasz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Ström in the 14th minute of play. Zbyszko Kajfasz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilhelm Berg, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Jim Lindholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurand Drzewucki in the 22nd minute of play. After 22 minutes of play, FC Harnaś Sanok's Jurand Drzewucki made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jim Lindholm was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to FC Harnaś Sanok getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Antoni Michalski hit a great ball. If Vilhelm Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute FC Harnaś Sanok were awarded a corner. Igor Brysz went to the cornerflag to take it. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Zbyszko Kajfasz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 33rd minute, Lars Julin made a precise shot to the right of Zbyszko Kajfasz. FC Harnaś Sanok's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Jim Lindholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jurand Drzewucki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leo Ström made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 39thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Zbyszko Kajfasz would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Stanislaw Bartocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jim Lindholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vilhelm Berg to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Leo Ström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åhus Absolut F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Ström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Harnaś Sanok would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
