After 18 minutes Cambridge Esporte Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Federico Chiesa who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Federico Chiesa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan did a great save. Sérgio Trevisan made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Oliver Bergfelt sent off a good shot on target. Szczepan Adamus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elivélton Aparecido in the 27th minute of play. When Säfvahöjden's Oliver Bergfelt, in the 32nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Säfvahöjden. Sérgio Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Classon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Federico Chiesa hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Jailson Loyola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Classon made a kick off. Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Classon in the 52nd minute of play. Sérgio Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Chiesa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ediz Türk hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match.
