Thiago Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Bomba in the 8th minute of play. In the 13th minute, José Bomba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Paraense was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thiago Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bóas Pernas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If José Bomba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Bomba in the 28th minute of play forced Sandecja's goalkeeper Thiago Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. F.C. Paços de Ferreira were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Sandecja's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Igor Tudor took the corner. Bóas Pernas was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Inácio Secco struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Thiago Paraense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Paços de Ferreira. Sandecja's Thiago Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bóas Pernas in the 35th minute of play. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Péter Mészáros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyryl Cichocki in the 37th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Bomba in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Paraense saved Sandecja from getting behind. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sandecja! In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sandecja's goalkeeper Thiago Paraense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Igor Tudor to fire away a dangerous shot which Thiago Paraense despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Inácio Secco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Paraense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Bomba got free with Thiago Paraense in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute José Bomba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Iwan Kluczyk threw the ball into play from the sideline. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Denis Osokin quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Sandecja's Thiago Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Bomba in the 67th minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Iwan Kluczyk threw the ball into play from the sideline. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Denis Osokin quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Paços de Ferreira made a substitution. Paulo Ferreira replaced Inácio Secco. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wiktor Miodek in the 78th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Paulo Ferreira heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The F.C. Paços de Ferreira fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when F.C. Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. José Bomba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Paraense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Wincent Ludzia's late challenge caught a F.C. Paços de Ferreira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wincent Ludzia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sandecja's Wincent Ludzia got a free kick in the 87th minute. José Bomba succeeded in the game's 90th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, José Bomba managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's supporters rose to their feet, but José Bomba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Paraense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Sandecja fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. F.C. Paços de Ferreira were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
