Academia Rio's Aurelian Coporan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Nazário De Lima in the 6th minute of play. Bernardo Moreira made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Sergiu Coșeriu sent off a good shot on target. After 9 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Coșeriu. With a little luck, Warren FC - DMZ's Bernardo Moreira got control of the ball when Valeriu Ilinca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bernardo Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergiu Coșeriu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Radu Păvăloae in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Moreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernardo Moreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorel Nedelciu in the 19th minute. Claudinho Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Bernardo Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Blănaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Academia Rio's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dumitru Pantelimon in the 29th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorel Nedelciu got free with Bernardo Moreira in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Warren FC - DMZ's Bernardo Moreira got control of the ball when Dorel Nedelciu tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Valeriu Ilinca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Warren FC - DMZ's Bernardo Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radu Păvăloae in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergiu Coșeriu made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Betão da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codrin Ionete in the 57th minute of play. Claudinho Alagoano's late challenge caught a Academia Rio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudinho Alagoano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Academia Rio booed when Warren FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radu Păvăloae in the 63rd minute of play. After having played for 65 minutes, Ronaldo Nazário De Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Warren FC - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Nazário De Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelian Coporan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Nazário De Lima in the 68th minute of play. Aurelian Coporan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Nazário De Lima's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. After 70th play minutes Ronaldo Nazário De Lima shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Aurelian Coporan and just under the crossbar into goal. Aurelian Coporan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Nazário De Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radu Păvăloae in the 81st minute of play forced Warren FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Bernardo Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chants of Warren FC - DMZ echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Academia Rio had held the ball for most of the match.
