After a rather tough play, Minotauro's Tales Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 4th minute. Perivaldo Dias hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goalkeeper Duarte de Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergiu Coșeriu. 14 minutes into the game, Adrian Blănaru threw the ball into play from the sideline. Minotauro's Paulinho Santos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 15 minutes, Paulinho Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minotauro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulinho Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Duarte de Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorel Nedelciu in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Adrian Blănaru threw the ball into play from the sideline. The supporters of Minotauro booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Ionete didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radu Păvăloae in the 43rd minute of play forced Minotauro's goalkeeper Duarte de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Academia Rio's Sergiu Coșeriu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duarte de Barros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romeu Sousa made a kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Sergiu Coșeriu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Minotauro's Duarte de Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Minotauro's Duarte de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorel Nedelciu in the 55th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Codrin Ionete. Paulinho Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Sergiu Coșeriu came free, but Duarte de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dumitru Pantelimon went to the cornerflag to take it. 92 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Păvăloae came free, but Duarte de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Academia Rio walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
