After a defensive mix-up in CA Trapito's zone, Humberto Velasques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Faro came out of the goal and Humberto Velasques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Germano Borba scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teofilo Faro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes into the game, Caleb Bayne threw the ball into play from the sideline. CA Trapito's Jaakob Snow quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Humberto Velasques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Teofilo Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Futebol Espinhel's Celso Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Astudillo in the 34th minute of play. David Rocha's late challenge caught a CA Trapito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of CA Trapito booed when Futebol Espinhel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Humberto Velasques made the kick off in the second half. Teofilo Faro made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Germano Borba sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, CA Trapito's Tibet Kutlucan got a free kick in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Astudillo in the 59th minute of play forced Futebol Espinhel's goalkeeper Celso Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Roberto Astudillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso Vasconcelos was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Futebol Espinhel players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CA Trapito.
