In the 22nd minute Alfons Spanl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sam Yang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reinhard Gradistanac hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. If Anders Örn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SV Barmbek von 1939's Baldomero Zafrilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save SV Barmbek von 1939 from getting a goal against them. Samba Fotboll U21's Sam Yang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Laukenmann in the 41st minute of play. The SV Barmbek von 1939 fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when SV Barmbek von 1939's Bob Laukenmann looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half SV Barmbek von 1939 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anders Örn was the one to do the kick off. Samba Fotboll U21's Sam Yang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Laukenmann in the 67th minute of play. Bob Laukenmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Sam Yang made a huge save. After a rather tough play, SV Barmbek von 1939's Jonah Bednar got a free kick in the 72nd minute. SV Barmbek von 1939's Boris Althoff was substituted for Alfons Spanl. The referee ignored SV Barmbek von 1939's protests and gave Reinhard Gradistanac a yellow card for diving instead. Reinhard Gradistanac kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. SV Barmbek von 1939 played a much better game than Samba Fotboll U21 and deserved their victory. The Samba Fotboll U21 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
