The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Boniel Alonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronny Tiger having to interfere. When Vännäsby BF's Gogo Dancer in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 14th minute Gogo Dancer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesareo Molina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético de Candamil's goalkeeper Cesareo Molina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ronny Tiger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Cameno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Atlético de Candamil booed when Vännäsby BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kim Kallstrøm didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Gogo Dancer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 23 minutes, He Sheng Chang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vännäsby BF and the Atlético de Candamil players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, He Sheng Chang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vännäsby BF's Ronny Tiger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Cameno in the 28th minute of play. Cesareo Molina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gogo Dancer in the 33rd minute. Cesareo Molina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gogo Dancer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Vännäsby BF getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Gogo Dancer hit a great ball. In the 48th minute, Gogo Dancer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elvio Cameno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Atlético de Candamil's Pablo Novo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronny Tiger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ronny Tiger made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Pablo Novo sent off a good shot on target. Cesareo Molina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gogo Dancer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pablo Novo came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Atlético de Candamil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pablo Novo couldn't finish the play. If Rosalio Sauca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gogo Dancer struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Cesareo Molina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vännäsby BF. Gogo Dancer took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cesareo Molina. Cesareo Molina dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Pablo Novo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Vännäsby BF's Gogo Dancer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesareo Molina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Novo in the 84th minute of play forced Vännäsby BF's goalkeeper Ronny Tiger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elvio Camenos short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Ronny Tiger to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kim Kallstrøm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, Malte Jupin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Gogo Dancer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cesareo Molina was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 96th minute Elvio Cameno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Tiger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
