The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lionel-Andrés Messi to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Galo van Basten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeo Rocio was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. With a little luck, Reall Madrid Marienburg's Amadeo Rocio got control of the ball when Galo van Basten tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Lionel-Andrés Messi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Keep Walking Project supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Keep Walking Project would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
