Norberto Linhares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Basilio Fidensio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rasmus Højlund in the 42nd minute of play. Norberto Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Perico, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Rasmus Højlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Joystick XXXV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basilio Fidensio should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fryderyk Kensicki in the 83rd minute of play forced Loures's goalkeeper Norberto Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Loures walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
