In the 13th minute of the match CSD Pte Derqui got a corner. Vlashers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angelo Demesio ran over to the corner to take the kick. 18 minutes into the match, Vlashers's Marius Levința sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iker Txomin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Mao Yuan Hong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CSD Pte Derqui fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Pauli Palander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mao Yuan Hong, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After the first half CSD Pte Derqui were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Mao Yuan Hong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Pauli Palander made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mao Yuan Hong got free with Pauli Palander in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the game, Marius Levința was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vlashers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CSD Pte Derqui the free kick. Bonifacio Bembe kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Zacarias Lidon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Pauli Palander made a huge save. If Marius Levința had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CSD Pte Derqui played a much better game than Vlashers and deserved their victory. The Vlashers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
