La Mora CAT's players were relieved. 12 minutes into the match, Kjønstad BF's goal looked a bit too open when Du Jian Chen came free, but Jarle Volden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarle Volden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Coronel Andres, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, La Mora CAT's goalkeeper Şenol Güneş had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thor Gaarder. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toma Lechev got free with Şenol Güneş in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jarle Volden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Coutinho in the 18th minute of the match. Şenol Güneş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toma Lechev in the 20th minute of play. When La Mora CAT's Coronel Andres in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The wind increased when Thor Gaarder made the kick off in the second half. Kjønstad BF's Jarle Volden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Coutinho in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Mora CAT's Aloisio Lastras got a free kick in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thor Gaarder in the 55th minute of play forced La Mora CAT's goalkeeper Şenol Güneş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şenol Güneş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toma Lechev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Toma Lechev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. La Mora CAT's Frank Alvarenga was substituted for Etor Benito. Thor Gaarder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kjønstad BF made a substitution. Reidar Nordhaug replaced Toma Lechev. 67 minutes into the game, Pedro Luís Peixoto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kjønstad BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Mora CAT the free kick. The Kjønstad BF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching La Mora CAT's performance. The match ended with a win for La Mora CAT.
