The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute of the match PATADAS S.A got a corner. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fidel Donio ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, PATADAS S.A's Raul Llorian got control of the ball when Célio Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, PATADAS S.A's Jesus Milian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Filipo came free, but Juvenal Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Juvenal Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Milian in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Milian came free, but Juvenal Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fidel Donio who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Fidel Donio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Juvenal Sergipano did a great save. After having played for 27 minutes, Daniel Cordarius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PATADAS S.A's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Cordarius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, PATADAS S.A's Jesus Milian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's zone, Saul Filipo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juvenal Sergipano came out of the goal and Saul Filipo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jesus Milian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juvenal Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Milian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesus Milian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juvenal Sergipano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. PATADAS S.A's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Lobo Zornoza scored to the left of an out of position Raul Llorian, making the score, 1-0. Lobo Zornoza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Raul Llorian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Célio Fontes made a kick off. Juvenal Sergipano was a little too slow when Jesus Milian got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 1-1. Juvenal Sergipano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jesus Milian in the 60th minute. PATADAS S.A's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fidel Donio in the 61st minute. The corner ended in Fidel Donio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Juvenal Sergipano did a great save. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Juvenal Sergipano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE from getting a goal against them. Jesus Milian received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juvenal Sergipano came out and tried to block the shot, but Jesus Milian slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 75th minute. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Juvenal Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juvenal Sergipano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jesus Milian in the 91st minute. Chants of PATADAS S.A echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE had held the ball for most of the match.
