Fidel Macerio hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the game, Fernandinho Pena threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sajones F.C.'s Fidel Macerio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Trancoso in the 19th minute of play forced Sajones F.C.'s goalkeeper Pastor Frantzes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind PIAUÍ FC's goalkeeper Iurie Chiriacescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, Guga Trancoso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pastor Frantzes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iurie Chiriacescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Sazon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pastor Frantzes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baturhan Oytun in the 27th minute of the match. After some careless play in the PIAUÍ FC defense, Isaias Sazon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iurie Chiriacescu. The PIAUÍ FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iurie Chiriacescu should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the match, Sajones F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Guga Trancoso came free, but Pastor Frantzes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Isaias Sazon came free, but Iurie Chiriacescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guga Trancoso took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pastor Frantzes. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isaias Sazon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pastor Frantzes made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Guga Trancoso sent off a good shot on target. Pastor Frantzes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir de Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Sajones F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Raitin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iurie Chiriacescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guga Trancoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Pastor Frantzes made a huge save.
