Duarte de Barros was left in no man's land by his defense there! The throw-in from Jonas Velloso in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by PATO BRANCO FC's Arsenio Loramendi. After the first half Coritiba Foot Ball Club were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo Garro to make the kick off. PATO BRANCO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4.
