After a defensive mix-up in Wara's zone, Mike Constantin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Urdaspal came out of the goal and Mike Constantin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alain Aït Salem kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Mikael Damm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larkins Potter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Larkins Potter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mikael Damm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After 25 played minutes Wara got a freekick which was hit by Faouzi Louahla. Léopold Fraval struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Elias Urdaspal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U.S.Normande. U.S.Normande's Aurélien Mussard managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cheb El-Hadi in the 38 minute of the game. If Mike Constantin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, U.S.Normande's Rosendo Sesuldo got a free kick in the 47th minute. U.S.Normande made a substitution. Steve Rendu replaced Rosendo Sesuldo. After 49 played minutes U.S.Normande got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Sesuldo. Mikael Damm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Baptiste Boulebda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Larkins Potter to make the kick off. U.S.Normande's Mikael Damm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save U.S.Normande from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by U.S.Normande's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jean-Baptiste Boulebda was slow to take the kick. During this time Wara's players had a chance to rest. Wara's Jean-Baptiste Boulebda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mikael Damm in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind U.S.Normande's goalkeeper Mikael Damm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Larkins Potter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Mikael Damm made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léopold Fraval in the 83rd minute of play forced Wara's goalkeeper Elias Urdaspal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U.S.Normande's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joris Callens in the 85th minute. U.S.Normande were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Wara's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joris Callens took the corner. U.S.Normande's Joris Callens was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Elias Urdaspal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mikael Damm made an important save on a dangerous shot by Larkins Potter in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute Mike Constantin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Urdaspal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mike Constantin scored 2-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elias Urdaspal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Larkins Potter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mikael Damm was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. When Léopold Fraval came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the U.S.Normande fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Léopold Fraval couldn't finish the play. Alain Aït Salem hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
