Fabian Abeijon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oskar Lindqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ceferino Peter made in the 35th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Lautaro Martines however managed to control. Ezequiel Fernandez hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Fabian Abeijon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Martines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, FC Kyustendil's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Rosalio came free, but Keilor Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Kyustendil's zone, Bernardo Rosalio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keilor Navas came out of the goal and Bernardo Rosalio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oskar Lindqvist made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oskar Lindqvist in the 53rd minute of play forced INCONA FC's goalkeeper Fabian Abeijon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Martines got free with Fabian Abeijon in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabian Abeijon made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Lautaro Martines sent off a good shot on target. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oskar Lindqvist couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oskar Lindqvist got free with Fabian Abeijon in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Kyustendil's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Panayot Salabashev in the 86th minute. With an all-out effort, FC Kyustendil's Fabian Abeijon threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oskar Lindqvist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 91st minute, Egemen Yaren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 92 minutes, Panayot Salabashev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Kyustendil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panayot Salabashev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Kyustendil's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
