The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benicio Osasun hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute Benicio Osasun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keilor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Raul Pacios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Keilor Navas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikus Linkūns, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. With his leg Jerom Quvelirs managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when FC Kyustendil's Lautaro Martines fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. El Retorno de Palermo's Jerom Quvelirs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save El Retorno de Palermo from getting a goal against them. El Retorno de Palermo's Jerom Quvelirs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Martines in the 24th minute of play. Raul Pacios hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Panayot Salabashev during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Kyustendil getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Panayot Salabashev hit a great ball. FC Kyustendil's Keilor Navas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Osasun in the 28th minute of play. Jerom Quvelirs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hendro Alexander in the 31st minute of the match. Keilor Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Osasun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Retorno de Palermo's Jerom Quvelirs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save El Retorno de Palermo from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benicio Osasun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hendro Alexander scored 2-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jerom Quvelirs, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 55thth minute of the game Lautaro Martines who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Retorno de Palermo's Jerom Quvelirs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 59 minutes into the match, FC Kyustendil's goalkeeper Keilor Navas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benicio Osasun. 63 minutes into the match, FC Kyustendil's goal looked a bit too open when Zygmunt Malik came free, but Keilor Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, FC Kyustendil's Keilor Navas got control of the ball when Zygmunt Malik tried to sneak it across the goal line. Keilor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikus Linkūns in the 68th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in El Retorno de Palermo's zone, Oskar Lindqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerom Quvelirs came out of the goal and Oskar Lindqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keilor Navas made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Zygmunt Malik sent off a good shot on target. Hendro Alexander hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, El Retorno de Palermo's Benicio Osasun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Keilor Navas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benicio Osasun in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keilor Navas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zygmunt Malik in the 85th minute of play forced FC Kyustendil's goalkeeper Keilor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oskar Lindqvist hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Benicio Osasun's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Keilor Navas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. FC Kyustendil's Hendro Alexander suffered a sore thigh after 90 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Huang Zhen Bo's late challenge caught a FC Kyustendil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Huang Zhen Bo helped the player get up and apologised. FC Kyustendil made a substitution. Ginyo Filipov replaced Hendro Alexander. After 92 played minutes El Retorno de Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Huang Zhen Bo. When the referee ended the match the FC Kyustendil players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
