The supporters of FC Drik booed when IFK Hedemora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Svanér didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carsten Eckstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenni Embro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in FC Drik's zone, Ivan Lundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erling Jeilman came out of the goal and Ivan Lundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, IFK Hedemora's Carsten Eckstein got control of the ball when Kenni Embro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Richard Lustig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erling Jeilman. FC Drik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Richard Lustig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 31 played minutes IFK Hedemora got a freekick which was hit by Gogo Fidele. Erling Jeilman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt Svanér in the 36th minute of the match. Erling Jeilman came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by IFK Hedemora's Bengt Svanér. But to his dismay, Bengt Svanér quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Richard Lustig took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erling Jeilman. Erling Jeilman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When Bengt Svanér came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the IFK Hedemora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt Svanér couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bengt Svanér stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Erling Jeilman made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Richard Lustig sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute, Ivan Lundberg made a precise shot to the right of Erling Jeilman. FC Drik's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Ivan Lundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Erling Jeilman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erling Jeilman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt Svanér, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Richard Lustig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ivan Lundberg came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the IFK Hedemora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Lundberg couldn't finish the play. The shot was stopped by Erling Jeilman but with some difficulty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Lundberg during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ivan Lundberg hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Richard Lustig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. IFK Hedemora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Lustig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Richard Lustig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erling Jeilman having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, FC Drik's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Svanér came free, but Erling Jeilman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. IFK Hedemora's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
