Adalmo Saldanha took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joachim Högman. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Joachim Högman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vincent Solera went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Sergi Gómez struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Joachim Högman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Alavés. After 74 played minutes Deportivo Alavés got a freekick which was hit by Adalmo Saldanha. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Alavés's Lesardo Alavedra slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joachim Högman. That made the score 2-4 after 79 minutes of play. This resulted in a 2-6 score and a disappointed Joachim Högman as he didn't even see the shot coming. The Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Deportivo Alavés were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
