Robertas Sabaitis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Arne Nord in the 44th minute of the match. Duarte de Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virginijus Balčaitis, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stig-Arne Nord made a kick off. The supporters of Club Atlético Ituzaingó booed when Absoliut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerzy Frankowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Salbatore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Ituzaingó's goalkeeper Duarte de Sena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Algitas Girkantas. Stig-Arne Nord scored 1-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robertas Sabaitis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Club Atlético Ituzaingó made a substitution. Paolo Marino replaced Bernardo Salbatore. 71 minutes into the match, Absoliut's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Arne Nord came free, but Robertas Sabaitis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84thth minute of the game Paolo Marino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Absoliut's Robertas Sabaitis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Algitas Girkantas fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Absoliut's protests and gave Algitas Girkantas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th match minute, Absoliut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Algitas Girkantas to maneuver through the defense. Absoliut made a substitution. Osvaldas Nutautas replaced Einaras Mažeika. Absoliut's Henrikas Stulpinas was substituted for Jerzy Frankowski. In the 97th minute, Algitas Girkantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
