Aldo Hawk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dário Martins's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. A collision led to Ferreira Lopes MZC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Luka Beaugendre hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, Atletico Patoruzu's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Alcântara came free, but Aldo Hawk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Rúben Verdun in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ferreira Lopes MZC's Luka Beaugendre. Aldo Hawk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Patoruzu's zone, Ronaldo Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Hawk came out of the goal and Ronaldo Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Ferreira Lopes MZC booed when Atletico Patoruzu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rúben Verdun didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Alcântara in the 36th minute of play forced Atletico Patoruzu's goalkeeper Aldo Hawk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Harman in the 38th minute of play forced Ferreira Lopes MZC's goalkeeper Tomé Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Cláudio Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Ferreira Lopes MZC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ferreira Lopes MZC made a substitution. Herald Depauw replaced Luka Beaugendre. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Gaizkine in the 57th minute of play forced Ferreira Lopes MZC's goalkeeper Tomé Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomé Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Latorre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th play minute Ronaldo Alcântara came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aldo Hawk. 0-3. Dário Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Aldo Hawk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Atletico Patoruzu getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Rúben Verdun hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Aldo Hawk successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 88th minute Ferreira Lopes MZC were awarded a corner. Dedé Paiva went to the cornerflag to take it. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Dedé Paiva was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aldo Hawk in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Atletico Patoruzu's Noah Hobson got a free kick in the 89th minute. Ferreira Lopes MZC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Atletico Patoruzu's much stronger midfield.
