Spectators: 165 (Terracing: 124, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Piara Santo kicked off to start the match. Piara Santo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marciano Marino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Waitakere F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ignacio Ereinotz in the 7th minute. After taking down the ball on Waitakere F.C.'s corner Ignacio Ereinotz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marciano Marino quite easily take care of the ball. After 12 minutes of play, Waitakere F.C.'s Piara Santo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marciano Marino was left in no man's land by his defense there! 15 minutes into the match, Waitakere F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Pape Lillo came free, but Marcos Burni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Burni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pape Lillo's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Várdomb's Olaf Wieczorek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Burni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Marcos Burni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olaf Wieczorek in the 26th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Pape Lillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Burni. Waitakere F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pape Lillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Piara Santo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marciano Marino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Piara Santo took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marciano Marino. Marciano Marino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Piara Santo came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Waitakere F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piara Santo couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Várdomb getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. József Nyitrai hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Waitakere F.C.'s Ignacio Ereinotz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience was convinced that Piara Santo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marciano Marino was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Piara Santo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Marino having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Neymar Da Silva to make the kick off. Marciano Marino had in the 55thth minute some difficulties stopping Piara Santo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Olaf Wieczorek made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 57thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Marcos Burni would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Olaf Wieczorek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Marcos Burni made a huge save. In the 63rd minute, Piara Santo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marciano Marino was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Waitakere F.C.'s Nacho Scocco was substituted for Delmiro Oto. A collision led to Várdomb getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Imre Herceg hit a great ball. Marciano Marino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Nacho Scocco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute Nacho Scocco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Marino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Codruț Doroftei kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Waitakere F.C.'s Nacho Scocco got a free kick in the 86th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Batistuta in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marciano Marino saved Várdomb from getting behind. Gabriel Batistuta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 97 minutes into the match, Nacho Scocco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marciano Marino. Várdomb's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nacho Scocco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. Várdomb's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
