Güvenç Kutalmış made in the 8th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Benedito Freire immediately put the ball in play. After 15 played minutes Ömer Halisdemir rounded Grêmio Santo André's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ömer Halisdemir got free with Ladislav Telepovský in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes in the game Güvenç Kutalmış did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Benedito Freire. The corner ended in Mack Oreilly almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Grêmio Santo André's Ladislav Telepovský did a great save. In the 48th minute Jeferson Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kajetan Dec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Ömer Halisdemir sped through Grêmio Santo André's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ladislav Telepovský. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Ömer Halisdemir put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ladislav Telepovský. In the 88th minute, Güvenç Kutalmış hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Santo André's Güvenç Kutalmış got a free kick in the 89th minute. When Mack Oreilly came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Zawisza Bydgoszcz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mack Oreilly couldn't finish the play. After 92 minutes, La Škarpa made it 8-1 with a short kick to the right side. Grêmio Santo André's Ladislav Telepovský tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio Santo André's zone, Mack Oreilly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ladislav Telepovský came out of the goal and Mack Oreilly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Zawisza Bydgoszcz fully deserved thier win.
