AEK FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave -BZF- Valea Buzăului the free kick. 4 minutes into the game, Abdi Malkoçoğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Panait Frânculescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 8 minutes into the match, AEK FC's goalkeeper Finn Eidsvåg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ionuț Jităreanu. A collision led to -BZF- Valea Buzăului getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ionuț Jităreanu hit a great ball. Finn Eidsvåg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inge Askelöf in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristi Şuţu in the 15th minute of play forced AEK FC's goalkeeper Finn Eidsvåg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AEK FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Israel Petri hit a great ball. In the 18th minute Iulian Nicorici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Finn Eidsvåg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, AEK FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iulian Nicorici came free, but Finn Eidsvåg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Cristi Şuţu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Finn Eidsvåg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristi Şuţu in the 28th minute of play. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Cristi Şuţu managed to work through AEK FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cristi Şuţu dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 31 played minutes AEK FC got a freekick which was hit by Abdi Malkoçoğlu. AEK FC's Finn Eidsvåg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save AEK FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of -BZF- Valea Buzăului booed when AEK FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Espen Heltne didn't get a good kick on the ball. AEK FC's Finn Eidsvåg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iulian Nicorici in the 44th minute of play.

The wind increased when Erik Stordal made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Iulian Nicorici cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Finn Eidsvåg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Erik Stordal was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to AEK FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Erik Stordal hit a great ball. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Vasile Târcă was substituted for Adrian Nicolae. The supporters of -BZF- Valea Buzăului booed when AEK FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Stordal didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Radowit Hetman got free with Panait Frânculescu in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Panait Frânculescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Israel Petri in the 69th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Abdi Malkoçoğlu took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Panait Frânculescu to make any attempt to save it. -BZF- Valea Buzăului made a substitution. Dănuț Roman replaced Cristi Şuţu. In the 79th match minute, AEK FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdi Malkoçoğlu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of AEK FC booed when -BZF- Valea Buzăului was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominik Brett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panait Frânculescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radowit Hetman, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Panait Frânculescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roald Djupvik in the 88th minute. In the 92nd minute Iulian Nicorici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Finn Eidsvåg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the -BZF- Valea Buzăului players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
