Del Santo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franky Dhondt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franky Dhondt in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Ove Rolfsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eustacio Rufo charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eustacio Rufo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th minute Franky Dhondt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Ove Rolfsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Franky Dhondt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Franky Dhondt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl-Ove Rolfsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Franky Dhondt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Karl-Ove Rolfsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damián Emmanuel charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damián Emmanuel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cardo Ruso Cordobés booed when Del Santo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damián Emmanuel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Franky Dhondt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardo Ruso Cordobés's supporters rose to their feet, but Franky Dhondt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Ove Rolfsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Del Santo FC defense, Franky Dhondt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Ove Rolfsson. The Del Santo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Ove Rolfsson should have stopped the shot. Franky Dhondt struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Karl-Ove Rolfsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardo Ruso Cordobés. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franky Dhondt in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Ove Rolfsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th match minute, Cardo Ruso Cordobés was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juliusz Gdowik to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Del Santo FC defense, Franky Dhondt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Ove Rolfsson. The Del Santo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Ove Rolfsson should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eustacio Rufo to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Del Santo FC's Karl-Ove Rolfsson got control of the ball when Nestor de Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, Franky Dhondt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cardo Ruso Cordobés's Bennvar Back was substituted for Franky Dhondt. If Bennvar Back had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 65 minutes into the match, Del Santo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bennvar Back came free, but Karl-Ove Rolfsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Bennvar Back ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl-Ove Rolfsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Del Santo FC's goalkeeper Karl-Ove Rolfsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bennvar Back in the 88th minute of play forced Del Santo FC's goalkeeper Karl-Ove Rolfsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Godofredo Bartoli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 minutes of play, Cardo Ruso Cordobés's Bennvar Back made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl-Ove Rolfsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cardo Ruso Cordobés's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
