Florencio Osasun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Björn Kamp in the 6th minute of the match. After 10 minutes, Fernando Noguera made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ingvar Nykvist tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the game, Santiago Silva recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Florencio Osasun. Santiago Silva showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Florencio Osasun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Silva in the 18th minute of play. The corner led ΠΑΟΚ FC's Petros Mirtsos to fire away a dangerous shot which Florencio Osasun despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 23rd minute Claudio Noguera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Nykvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santiago Silvas short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Florencio Osasun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The corner ended in Ernesto Tauro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El coca fc's Florencio Osasun did a great save. In the 27th minute Fernando Noguera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Nykvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 played minutes El coca fc got a freekick which was hit by Mattijs Robijns. The supporters of El coca fc booed when ΠΑΟΚ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldovino Argos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yakiv Revut, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Edmondo Del Monte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ingvar Nykvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yakiv Revut in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santiago Silva was the one to do the kick off. 50 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mattijs Robijns came free, but Ingvar Nykvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattijs Robijns in the 57th minute of play forced ΠΑΟΚ FC's goalkeeper Ingvar Nykvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Edmondo Del Monte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Osasun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, El coca fc's goal looked a bit too open when Edmondo Del Monte came free, but Florencio Osasun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, El coca fc's Jardel Van Landschoot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ingvar Nykvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Sotiris Zacharakis was substituted for Edmondo Del Monte. ΠΑΟΚ FC made a substitution. The El coca fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florencio Osasun should have stopped the shot. In the 92ndth minute of the game Sotiris Zacharakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El coca fc's Florencio Osasun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Mattijs Robijns made a precise shot to the right of Ingvar Nykvist. ΠΑΟΚ FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3.
