In the 4th minute, one of Espirillo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Espirillo FC. The referee gave ARON FC a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jorginho Mattos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Espirillo FC's Jorge Iztal. 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, ARON FC's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Cutberto. Aaron Cutbertos short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Luís Fabiano Vaz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 12th minute Edu Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Luís Fabiano Vaz managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Espirillo FC's Aaron Cutberto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 14th minute Espirillo FC were awarded a corner. Aaron Cutberto went to the cornerflag to take it. Arnoldo Arotza was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristo Elia in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Fabiano Vaz saved ARON FC from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, ARON FC's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Cutberto. Luís Fabiano Vaz made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Joaquim Fernandes sent off a good shot on target. Luís Fabiano Vaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aaron Cutberto's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Luís Fabiano Vaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquim Fernandes in the 27th minute. In the 36th match minute, ARON FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Proença to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Espirillo FC's Aaron Cutberto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Fabiano Vaz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Arne Boehm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Iztal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edu Proença to strike the kick off in the second half. Jorge Iztal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Xavier in the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Espirillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edu Proença came free, but Jorge Iztal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Iztal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edu Proença in the 60th minute of play. In the 64thth minute of the game Aaron Cutberto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ARON FC's Luís Fabiano Vaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Espirillo FC's Jorge Iztal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Proença in the 66th minute of play. Luís Fabiano Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Cutberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aaron Cutberto in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Fabiano Vaz saved ARON FC from getting behind. Cristo Elia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Luís Fabiano Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute of the match, Edu Proença tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jorge Iztal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Espirillo FC booed when ARON FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bobby Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th match minute, ARON FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesinha Britto to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Cutberto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Fabiano Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Cutberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
