Ove Rang's late challenge caught a Tabossi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ove Rang helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute, Ove Rang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Du Chong Le took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Isusko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Edvin Lindkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Djurgården IF's Du Chong Le played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Isusko in the 10th minute of play. Sven-Edvin Lindkvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nery Pumpido having to make a save. Du Chong Le came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Tabossi's Ramiro Isusko. But to his dismay, Ramiro Isusko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Ramiro Isusko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Du Chong Le was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Gustav Ahlrot scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nery Pumpido, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nery Pumpido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ove Rang in the 26th minute. Tadeo Eneas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Benedicto Lauro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Ramiro Isusko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Du Chong Le saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Fabio Ferman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Du Chong Le showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Isusko in the 42nd minute of the match. Sven-Edvin Lindkvist succeeded in the game's 44th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Edvin Lindkvist made a kick off. Du Chong Le made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Ramiro Isusko sent off a good shot on target. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Lindkvist in the 59th minute of play. Djurgården IF's Sven-Edvin Lindkvist managed to work through Tabossi's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Sven-Edvin Lindkvist dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 67th minute, Benedicto Lauro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tabossi's Fausto Ganix was substituted for Fabio Ferman. Tabossi's Armando Bondi was substituted for Ramiro Isusko. The supporters of Djurgården IF booed when Tabossi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedicto Lauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mikolaj Siwek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Nery Pumpido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nery Pumpido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Rang, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Du Chong Le had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolando Botello. A hard shot 95 in the game by Armando Bondi from a close distance when the talented Du Chong Le managed to make a qualified save. Djurgården IF's players were relieved. Ove Rang took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nery Pumpido. Nery Pumpido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Djurgården IF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
