The ball had pretty good speed, but Viriato Cruz firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Ernesto Nalo fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tabossi's protests and gave Ernesto Nalo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Tabossi's Ernesto Nalo got a free kick in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis Thessalonikios in the 14th minute of play forced Tabossi's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ booed when Tabossi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedicto Lauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ernesto Nalo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 21 minutes had been played. Ernesto Nalo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Thymios Pantoflaras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's Thymios Pantoflaras looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tabossi's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Gonçalves in the 35th minute of play. Alexis Thessalonikios took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nery Pumpido. Nery Pumpido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 48th minute Fausto Ganix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Viriato Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Ganix in the 54th minute of the match. Gilberto Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thymios Pantoflaras showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 74th minute, Gilberto Gonçalves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nery Pumpido was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The crowd rose to their feet as ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's Kyriakos Georgopoulos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nery Pumpido. That made the score 0-5 after 77 minutes of play. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Tabossi's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Kyriakos Georgopoulos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nery Pumpido. Kyriakos Georgopoulos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. After a rather tough play, ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's Thymios Pantoflaras got a free kick in the 87th minute. The supporters of Tabossi booed when ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louis Drakopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nery Pumpido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Gonçalves in the 92nd minute. After 94 minutes Tabossi's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alketas Anastasakos who took care of the corner kick. Alketas Anastasakos made a great header on ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's corner, it was just that Tabossi's Nery Pumpido managed to reach the ball for a save. After 94 played minutes Alketas Anastasakos scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Nery Pumpido who was too lazy, 0-7. The Tabossi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
