In the 8th match minute, Itapema was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amos Maietta to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute Douglas Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Jansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Itapema booed when Joga Hem FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esbjörn Lundin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladimir Albuquerque took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alf Jansson. Joga Hem FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Durvalino Cavalcante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alf Jansson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 17 minutes into the game, Itapema's Amos Maietta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alf Jansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Itapema's Vitório Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Itapema from getting a goal against them. Knut Hellkvist's late challenge caught a Itapema's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sílvio Luís Goiano was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. The supporters of Joga Hem FC booed when Itapema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mattias Söderqvist was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Vitório Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Knut Hellkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Alf Jansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Nascimento in the 38th minute of the match. Edmund Sundén hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Vladimir Albuquerque scored 1-5 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alf Jansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Sebastião Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alf Jansson. Joga Hem FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastião Nascimento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Durvalino Cavalcante was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Joga Hem FC's goalkeeper Alf Jansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Durvalino Cavalcante. Joga Hem FC's Alf Jansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Joga Hem FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Itapema's Alex Félix got a free kick in the 64th minute. Itapema's Vitório Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andréas Falkrans in the 67th minute of play. Durvalino Cavalcantes short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Alf Jansson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sebastião Nascimento took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alf Jansson. Alf Jansson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. In the 75th minute, Durvalino Cavalcante made a precise shot to the right of Alf Jansson. Joga Hem FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-8. 78 minutes into the game, Durvalino Cavalcante recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alf Jansson. Durvalino Cavalcante showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-9. Alf Jansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastião Nascimento in the 84th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Durvalino Cavalcante kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alf Jansson. That made the score 1-11 in the 88 minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Joga Hem FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Nascimento came free, but Alf Jansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andréas Falkrans took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitório Massa. Vitório Massa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-11. When the final whistle sounded Itapema left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Joga Hem FC.
