The supporters of Sleepy Soldiers FC booed when Independência Futebol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frits Cromefeldt took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldinho Gaúcho. Ronaldinho Gaúcho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 24 minutes, Andres Oper made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Independência Futebol's Ronaldinho Gaúcho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Andres Oper put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ronaldinho Gaúcho. Andres Oper took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldinho Gaúcho. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dinei Toscano to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Ordono in the 51st minute of play forced Independência Futebol's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andres Oper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 60 minutes, Andres Oper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sleepy Soldiers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andres Oper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
