The supporters of Falckner FC booed when Operário Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oihan Zadaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlinhos Batata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jose Baldovino in the 19th minute. Carlinhos Batata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Vialli in the 21st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jose Baldovino got free with Carlinhos Batata in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel dos Santos in the 46th minute of play forced Falckner FC's goalkeeper Loco De la Maza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gianluca Vialli made a kick off. Gianluca Vialli took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlinhos Batata. Carlinhos Batata dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Operário Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Carlinhos Batata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Falckner FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Jose Baldovino hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the game, Falckner FC's Gianluca Vialli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlinhos Batata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Gianluca Vialli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlinhos Batata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Mané Veiga in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Falckner FC's Urbano Shantala. In the 73rd minute Jose Baldovino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlinhos Batata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlinhos Batata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olaf Ciempa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octavio Gorosti in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlinhos Batata saved Operário Futebol Clube from getting behind. After 78 minutes, Octavio Gorosti made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Operário Futebol Clube's Carlinhos Batata tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Olaf Ciempa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlinhos Batata. Operário Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jose Baldovino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Octavio Gorosti notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Operário Futebol Clube's Carlinhos Batata. Carlinhos Batata was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 95 minutes into the match, Operário Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Baldovino came free, but Carlinhos Batata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Falckner FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
