The audience thought a goal was coming when Guaberto Jorrin got free with Antoni Poremba in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stefan Niemojewski in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Leoncio saved FC MANEKENI CLUB from getting behind. A collision led to FC MANEKENI CLUB getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Toma Draganov hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Niemojewski in the 25th minute of play forced FC MANEKENI CLUB's goalkeeper Alfonso Leoncio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Cyryl Budrewicz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alfonso Leoncio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Guaberto Jorrin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Antoni Poremba made a huge save. After 31 minutes Varsovia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Panos Kontogiannidis who took care of the corner kick. Stefan Niemojewski scored 0-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfonso Leoncio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Stefan Niemojewski made the kick off in the second half. Guaberto Jorrin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. The referee ignored FC MANEKENI CLUB's protests and gave Panos Kontogiannidis a yellow card for diving instead. Panos Kontogiannidis kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. When Stefan Niemojewski came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Varsovia fans jumped to their feet. Alfonso Leoncio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Varsovia booed when FC MANEKENI CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Traian Nanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute Mavrudi Barúmov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Poremba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Alexi Bakúrdzhiev heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The supporters of FC MANEKENI CLUB booed when Varsovia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Niemojewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Varsovia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Varsovia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
