The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henning Flink during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute Xacintu Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magni Buffone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magni Buffone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xacintu Ribeiro in the 21st minute of play. Eric Eftimescu made in the 24th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Glemmingebro IF's Eduardo Camavinga. After having played for 26 minutes, Xacintu Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Bucaramanga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xacintu Ribeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Glemmingebro IF were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Atlético Bucaramanga's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Peter Sjöström took the corner. Luizinho Paranaense came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Glemmingebro IF's Harald Vallander. But to his dismay, Harald Vallander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 39 minutes into the match, Glemmingebro IF's goal looked a bit too open when Xacintu Ribeiro came free, but Magni Buffone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Glemmingebro IF defense, Xacintu Ribeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magni Buffone. The Glemmingebro IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magni Buffone should have stopped the shot.

In the 52nd minute, Quico Gómez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Glemmingebro IF were awarded a corner. Peter Sjöström went to the cornerflag to take it. After 62 played minutes Hernando Harroyo rounded Glemmingebro IF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. Atlético Bucaramanga's Silban Garijo was substituted for Jerson Gonzales. The throw-in from Kristian Arenstedt in the 71st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Atlético Bucaramanga's Eric Eftimescu. Atlético Bucaramanga were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Glemmingebro IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Shawn Michaels took the corner. After 75 minutes Glemmingebro IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Shawn Michaels who took care of the corner kick. 温鸿伟 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 80 minutes, Harald Vallander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luizinho Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Vallander, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Silban Garijo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The Atlético Bucaramanga supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atlético Bucaramanga would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
