53 minutes into the match, Royal PSG's Samuel Izard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henry de Vries narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Birvan Spor Kulübü's Pankracy Modrzewski got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After having played for 93 minutes, Samuel Izard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royal PSG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Izard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Izard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henry de Vries read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
