In the 7th minute Daniel Walkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boca Juniors's Mathias Sabóia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. Mathias Sabóia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wincenty Jaszynski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. After 21 played minutes LOTOS WARSZAWA got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Mino. Korneliusz Cwojdak kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. LOTOS WARSZAWA's Tiburcio Guerrero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elano Guerra in the 24th minute of play. Tiburcio Guerrero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Tiburcio Guerrero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Dante in the 26th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match, Jacek Siekierski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mathias Sabóia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Jacek Siekierski took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Mathias Sabóia to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

A collision led to LOTOS WARSZAWA getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Beniamin Snaza hit a great ball. Tiburcio Guerrero made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Reinaldo Dante sent off a good shot on target. Boca Juniors's Frank Toscano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Beniamin Snaza, made in the 62nd minute of the game. 64 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Jacek Siekierski came free, but Mathias Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinaldo Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Reinaldo Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Claudio Mino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, LOTOS WARSZAWA's Tiburcio Guerrero got control of the ball when Frank França tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mathias Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacek Siekierski in the 76th minute of play. Flávio Paraibano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tiburcio Guerrero came out and tried to block the shot, but Flávio Paraibano slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 77th minute. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when LOTOS WARSZAWA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Korneliusz Cwojdak didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Reinaldo Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinaldo Dante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the LOTOS WARSZAWA defense, Frank França kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiburcio Guerrero. The LOTOS WARSZAWA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiburcio Guerrero should have stopped the shot. LOTOS WARSZAWA made a substitution. Herbert Gerlach replaced Rafal Domaradzki. Korneliusz Cwojdak kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. LOTOS WARSZAWA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
