In the 14th minute Freddy Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Maciejewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Espartillar were furious when Lucio Gitano was red carded, 19 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 18th minute, one of Real Espartillar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Real Espartillar. When the match had been going on for 20 minutes, Royal Knights FC's Aníbal Fonseca got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gavino Iratxo. Artur Maciejewski came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Real Espartillar's Freddy Santana. But to his dismay, Freddy Santana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 27th minute Julianda Saputra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Maciejewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavino Iratxo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hudson Pires in the 33rd minute. Gavino Iratxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 卓笑沙 in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Royal Knights FC's zone, Freddy Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Maciejewski came out of the goal and Freddy Santana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 40 played minutes Royal Knights FC got a freekick which was hit by Arne Röspel. Artur Maciejewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julianda Saputra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 卓笑沙 to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Cristóvão Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Royal Knights FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristóvão Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavino Iratxo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Real Espartillar's Gavino Iratxo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hudson Pires in the 51st minute of play. After 55 minutes Real Espartillar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aníbal Fonseca who took care of the corner kick. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Royal Knights FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Julianda Saputra was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Espartillar's players had a chance to rest. 卓笑沙 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Real Espartillar's Renan Guerreiro was substituted for Ciprian Răuțchi. Royal Knights FC's Artur Maciejewski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Royal Knights FC from getting a goal against them. Artur Maciejewski was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Julianda Saputra capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julianda Saputra really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. After a rather tough play, Real Espartillar's Renan Guerreiro got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 87thth minute of the game Julianda Saputra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Royal Knights FC's Artur Maciejewski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julianda Saputra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Artur Maciejewski made a huge save. The supporters of Royal Knights FC booed when Real Espartillar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigel Socoriceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Espartillar's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
