The North Face's Patrick McLennan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save The North Face from getting a goal against them. 12 minutes into the match, The North Face's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Capixaba came free, but Patrick McLennan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charles Capixaba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Patrick McLennan made a huge save. Joshua Cumming hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Patrick McLennan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clayton Pedron in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, The North Face's goal looked a bit too open when Clayton Pedron came free, but Patrick McLennan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The North Face's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charles Capixaba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 43rd minute Joshua Cumming shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diguinho Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Maia in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrick McLennan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the The North Face defense, Jeremias Maia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrick McLennan. The The North Face fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick McLennan should have stopped the shot. 74 minutes into the match, The North Face's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Maia came free, but Patrick McLennan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 76th minute of the game was made by Keith Brieve with Joshua Cumming as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Patrick McLennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Maia in the 83rd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Jeremias Maia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick McLennan.
