Luke De Kelper kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Eriberto Honesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gergely Kalmár in the 12th minute of play. Zsolt Kuncz made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Desiderio Ostargi sent off a good shot on target. Eriberto Honesto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gergely Kalmár's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Ekhi got free with Zsolt Kuncz in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the 1989 Blxsk defense, Gergely Kalmár kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eriberto Honesto. The 1989 Blxsk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eriberto Honesto should have stopped the shot. With his leg Zsolt Kuncz managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when 1989 Blxsk's Desiderio Ostargi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 29th minute Dino Berardino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Honesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
