Spectators: 169 (Terracing: 127, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) The crowd rose to their feet as Sporting Cristal's Fernanco Peso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Songur Yoran. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. Arsenal FC's Calistrat Lesnea managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ronaldão Nogueira in the 14 minute of the game. Sporting Cristal's Jon Iruegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Orlin in the 15th minute of play. Fernanco Peso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Songur Yoran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jon Iruegas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Forsberg's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Fernanco Peso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Songur Yoran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Orlin came free, but Jon Iruegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Songur Yoran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernanco Peso, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Calistrat Lesnea hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Jon Iruegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Orlin in the 38th minute of play. Fernanco Peso kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 45thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Arsenal FC's keeper Songur Yoran was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 47th minute of the match Sporting Cristal got a corner. Arsenal FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gertjan De Ryck ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Tobias Larsson heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damaso Orlin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Songur Yoran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldão Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 54th match minute, Arsenal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Låsberg to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's Ronaldão Nogueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Songur Yoran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Gertjan De Ryck got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Songur Yoran quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Orlin in the 63rd minute of play forced Sporting Cristal's goalkeeper Jon Iruegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldão Nogueira in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Songur Yoran saved Arsenal FC from getting behind. Arsenal FC's attentive Vincent Låsberg managed to snatch the ball when Ivon Curiel made a throw-in in the 67th minute of the game. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Songur Yoran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Songur Yoran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldão Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Löfgren came free, but Jon Iruegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edvard Pihl during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sporting Cristal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldão Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Songur Yoran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hüseyin Turan Elçibey kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Arsenal FC's John Forsberg got a free kick in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sporting Cristal fans cheered their team off the field, for while Arsenal FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
