Eduard Zgabei kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. When Torsten Bålström came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Brandbergen Bears fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torsten Bålström couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Erik Källberg in the 10th minute of play forced POLI TIMISOARA's goalkeeper Mihai Domuță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihai Domuță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Fredriksson in the 15th minute of play. The corner ended in Torsten Bålström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but POLI TIMISOARA's Mihai Domuță did a great save. Jakob Fredriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Domuță having to interfere. Brandbergen Bears's Dennis Unesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicu Nichitelea in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Jens-Erik Källberg notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of POLI TIMISOARA's Mihai Domuță. Mihai Domuță was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the match, Brandbergen Bears's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Buculeasa came free, but Dennis Unesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Walter Alstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dennis Unesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicu Nichitelea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute of the match POLI TIMISOARA got a corner. Brandbergen Bears's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filip Buculeasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Brandbergen Bears getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Harald Frykberg hit a great ball. Cosmin Harbuz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Dennis Unesson made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jens-Erik Källberg was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Per-Erik Tunberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brandbergen Bears and the POLI TIMISOARA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Brandbergen Bears's Per-Erik Tunberg got a free kick in the 53rd minute. POLI TIMISOARA's Filip Buculeasa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dennis Unesson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Cosmin Harbuz put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dennis Unesson. The supporters of Brandbergen Bears booed when POLI TIMISOARA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Mihăescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute Nicu Nichitelea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Unesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Torsten Bålström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mihai Domuță quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 96th minute Jarbas Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Unesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the POLI TIMISOARA players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
