With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marian Văduvescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Zygmunt Dunajski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erkut Hürsev was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Cumali Neşat might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marian Văduvescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Steaua Pildesti had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
