Hubert Villa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gong Ao Guang showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. In the 9th minute Bogdan Gherasim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xaiver Rosende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goranesti's Hubert Villa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Goranesti from getting a goal against them. 12 minutes into the match, Gong Ao Guang dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hubert Villa, 2-0. With a little luck, Goranesti's Hubert Villa got control of the ball when Gong Ao Guang tried to sneak it across the goal line. Goranesti were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after C.A. Peñarol's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bogdan Gherasim took the corner. Gong Ao Guang hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The supporters of Goranesti booed when C.A. Peñarol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Portal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bogdan Gherasim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Xaiver Rosende. C.A. Peñarol's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Xaiver Rosende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Gherasim in the 27th minute of the match. In the 32ndth minute of the game Gong Ao Guang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goranesti's Hubert Villa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner led to C.A. Peñarol's Juan María Avaria getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Gong Ao Guang managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. Peñarol's supporters rose to their feet, but Gong Ao Guang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hubert Villa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gong Ao Guang in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hubert Villa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gong Ao Guang got free with Hubert Villa in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gong Ao Guang made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Gong Ao Guang made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Goranesti's Hubert Villa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. C.A. Peñarol's Xaiver Rosende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Pintilie in the 56th minute of play. If Gong Ao Guang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gong Ao Guang in the 58th minute of play forced Goranesti's goalkeeper Hubert Villa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Goranesti defense, Gong Ao Guang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hubert Villa. The Goranesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hubert Villa should have stopped the shot. Hubert Villa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gong Ao Guang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Gong Ao Guang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hubert Villa was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Goranesti's Hubert Villa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gong Ao Guang in the 68th minute of play. Hubert Villa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gong Ao Guang in the 70th minute of play. Goranesti's Corneliu Iorgovan was substituted for Alin Ciutacu. The corner led C.A. Peñarol's Jimeno Infante to fire away a dangerous shot which Hubert Villa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Juan María Avaria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Avram Petrin kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, C.A. Peñarol's Gong Ao Guang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hubert Villa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 83rd minute C.A. Peñarol were awarded a corner. Jimeno Infante went to the cornerflag to take it. When Gong Ao Guang came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the C.A. Peñarol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gong Ao Guang couldn't finish the play. Hubert Villa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gong Ao Guang in the 95th minute of the match. C.A. Peñarol's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
