SOL's Abel Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlinhos de Brito in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Carlinhos de Brito dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Abel Novaes, 2-0. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Chico de Brito took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Abel Novaes to make any attempt to save it. 16 minutes into the game, Carlinhos de Brito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Abel Novaes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the match, Carlinhos de Brito dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Abel Novaes, 5-0. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SOL's goalkeeper Abel Novaes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abel Novaes made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Mattias Wennerberg sent off a good shot on target. 27 minutes into the match, SOL's goal looked a bit too open when João Augusto Lopes came free, but Abel Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when Mattias Wennerberg made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Carlinhos de Brito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Abel Novaes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abel Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Wennerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the SOL defense, Mattias Wennerberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel Novaes. The SOL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel Novaes should have stopped the shot.
